Schools

School District 20 enjoys a national reputation for academic excellence. It is a “choice” school district offering numerous opportunities for students’ individual interests and future educational paths. Students consistently score well above the national average on SAT and ACT scores and each year an exceptionally large number continue on to higher education.  Wolf Ranch students are zoned into Ranch Creek Elementary School located within the neighborhood, Chinook Middle School, and Pine Creek High School (governed by the school district; subject to change).

Shopping and Services

Wolf Ranch is located 5 minutes from Super Wal-Mart, Super Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and King Sooper’s grocery store, and several restaurants.  Also within 5-10 minutes are World Market, Kohls, Dick’s, I-Max and multiplex theater, and a number of well know restaurants all located within the First & Main Town Center. Also within 10 minutes are the Chapel Hills Shopping Mall and the Promenade Shops at Briargate.  For the golfers, Pine Creek Golf Course is approximately 10 minutes to the northwest..

The Colorado Springs Airport is approximately 15-20 minutes south on Powers Blvd. to Milton E. Proby Pkwy/Drennan Road. If you are in need of traveling to Denver, I-25 is about 10 minutes to the west.

Wolf Ranch is also a good location for employees of both Peterson Air Force Base and Schriever Air Force Base both located 15-20 minutes to the southeast. The Air Force Academy is also located about 10-15 minutes to the northwest.

The Gateway Park at Wolf Ranch has a large pavilion, small pond with a waterfall, picnic tables, benches, and is the perfect spot to enjoy concerts, performances and gather with neighbors and friends. This park provides a Wireless Internet (wi-fi) hot spot for public use.

Westcreek Park, the first Wolf Ranch city park, has playground equipment, picnic tables, pavilion, seating and an in-line roller hockey/basketball court.

A Wolf Ranch Community Council has also been established to create a structure for social interaction among Wolf Ranch residents with planned social programs ranging from picnics to music for the benefits of Wolf Ranch Residents.  It is funded through the sale of every home in Wolf Ranch.  The fund is designed to benefit the residents of Wolf Ranch in perpetuity and continually be a source of social programs for residents of Wolf Ranch, and the cost of these social activities do not impact the Wolf Ranch Homeowner’s Association.

Employment

Wolf Ranch is about 10 miles from Peterson Air Force Base and a non-congested drive to Schriever Air Force Base and the Space Command Center. Numerous industrial facilities and business centers along Highway 24 and Powers Boulevard also provide many job opportunities. Wolf Ranch is within 15 minutes of I-25 and the over 18 national and international corporations located along Highway 83 and the Briargate Business Campus. Residents will appreciate trouble-free commuting to almost any business center in the Pikes Peak region, including Denver.
