Our Home Collections
All-time Favorites for the All-American Lifestyle
Everything about building a Classic home is special and all of our homes start with some pretty spectacular standard features that lay the foundation for the design and construction of your new home.
Before you begin your Design Studio experience, please make yourself familiar with the fixtures and finishes that come standard with every Classic floorplan. Each of our flooplans belongs to what we call Collections. The Collection represents not only the style of home you are building, but also the finishes that come standard with each or our single-family ranch and 2-story floorplans. The Renaissance Collection applies to the finishes in our traditional alley-load ranch and 2-story plans. And, The Legends Collection refers to finishes you’ll find in our paired patio ranch plans. Once you understand what standard features come with your floorplan, you’re begin your upgrade wish list, and it’s also the ideal way to get a better understanding of the quality materials that go into the construction of your home, right from the start!
Our Interior Selections Guidebook

Getting your house in order can, indeed, seem overwhelming. Especially when it comes to making decisions about the look of your new home. Will hardwood be more attractive than carpet? What sort of color scheme and light fixtures will best complement your new living room?

Doing Your “Homework”
Studying Options and Upgrades on Your Own Time
With your Preview Appointment behind you, you’ll be ready to begin making the design choices that bring a unique personality to your finished home. Wondering whether certain patterns or color schemes will come together with your floorplan? Whether one fixture might suit your needs better than another in your home’s interior design? Studying your Design Studio Option Price Book will help you evaluate your “needs and wants” and how they fit within your budget.
The Design Process
Completing Your Design Selections in Three Easy Steps
It isn’t always easy to get it right the first time. That’s why your Design Consultant will meet with you on two to three separate occasions before you’re asked to finalize your choices.
The first appointment—“Getting Familiar with Your Home; The Essentials”—will take place within a couple of weeks from the date of your contract. The second (and third, if needed) will take place within three to four weeks from the date of your contract, — this is the point where we apply “The Finishing Touches” to your interior selections.
By the time you’ve completed your final appointment, the last of your design decisions and upgrade options should be formally locked in place and passed along to your Sales and Construction team, who’ll then incorporate them into the final floorplan.
Living with Your Choices
Making the Time to Make the Right Decisions
Occasionally, people tell us they are too busy to attend their Design Studio appointments. Or that they don’t have the skills to make the “right” design decisions. If you’re one of those people, we’d ask you put those thoughts aside, and join us anyway. Why? Because whether or not you want to believe it, your vision, and your voice in your home’s construction, is indispensable.
Homebuilding is a team endeavor, and no one’s opinion is more important in this process than your own. So when you meet with your Design Consultant, rest easy. We’ll promise to use your time wisely, treat you respectfully, and deliver quality results that make the whole team proud.
There’s No Making Up Lost Time
The Design Studio selection process can be time-consuming. So it’s best to plan ahead, and use your resources wisely. Here are a few rules of thumb that will help speed the process along…
First of all, expect the selection process to take anywhere from ten to twenty business hours. This may sound excessive, but our estimates—based on a long, well-documented history of home sales—prove it to be an accurate timeline in the case of most buyers.
Second, we will break your selection-days into three-hour increments. That way, you’ll keep from getting overwhelmed or overly-fatigued.
Third, be aware that evening and Saturday appointments fill quickly, and as such, may not be available to all buyers. If you’re interested in an evening or Saturday appointment with a Design Studio Consultant, make your appointment request known early and be sure to arrive on time.
Fourth, this process requires your full undivided attention. Please make arrangements for child care and pet care. The Studio is not child friendly and we do not allow pets in the Studio.
