Speed Up the Sale of Your Home - Advice from NAHB
HOME OWNERSHIP
Putting your home up for sale can be an exhausting, stressful experience. But there are several things you can do to improve your home's marketability. By expending a bit of effort before it goes on the market, you can ensure that your home presents well, stands out from the crowd and doesn’t turn off potential buyers so that you can sell quickly…and at the best price.

Tone Down Personality
Your bookshelves may be filled with Pulitzer-Prize winners and your collection of Americana figurines may reflect your personal interests, but to home buyers, it looks busy and cluttered, and may distract them from truly seeing your home’s unique architectural features and spacious rooms. Also consider whether family pictures help or hinder a sale; future home owners may not be able to look past your kids’ smiling faces plastered all over the walls and see themselves building their own future in your home.

Since you hope...

From NAHB - "The Not-so-Obvious Benefits of Building a New Home"
HOME OWNERSHIP
We ran across this article from our friends at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and wanted to share the great insight with you, today, as you are considering your options in homeownership.

Source www.NAHB.com

Prospective home buyers have the choice of two types of houses on the market: resale or new.

Home buyers planning to buy a brand-new house or condominium often cite energy-efficiency, open layout, a warranty, and being able to select appliances, flooring, paint colors and other design elements as factors driving their choice.

But builders say that buyers can be drawn to a new house for reasons that aren’t so obvious. Below are a few more benefits of a brand-new home that you may not see in the sales brochure.

Building a Community Together
A brand-new community is one of the built-in benefits of many ne...

Customer Care Goes Above and Beyond
KUDOS

Something caught my eye in an email from our Director of Customer Care. Today we received a survey from a homeonwer in Cumbre Vista that wasn't as much about the building and construction of their home as it was about the customer service they received after the fact for an issue completely unrelated to work performed by Classic.  After offering high scores on the rating portion of the survey,  here's what the homeowner said in the comment area:

"The house was in a perfect shape and ready for us to move in. There was nothing we needed to have corrected. What's more, after an external company incorrectly hooked up our washing machine and consequently water destroyed part of our ceiling in the living room, wonderful Classic people helped us fix our ceiling. We couldn't be more happy with our choice of the building company. Classic rocks!!! We tell that to anyone who asks us abo...
