Colorado Springs Charter School Expanding to High School.

Banning Lewis Ranch Academy (BRLA), a charter public school in Colorado Springs serving students from K-8, is expanding to include a new high school starting in the fall of 2017. The date for the official groundbreaking ceremony and press conference to announce the beginning of construction on Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy (BLPA) has been set for Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the site of the future school.  BLRA and BLPA are located in the heart of School District 49, inside of the Banning Lewis Ranch property development on the northeast side of Colorado Springs.

The Banning Lewis Ranch Academy Board of Directors, D-49 school district, and the Oakwood Development team have worked in conjunction with local Colorado businesses to build a new 80,000 square foot facility that will hold 1050 students. City and county officials, educational leaders, business partners, and media are invited to attend the Groundbreaking Ceremony on June 30, 2016 at 11:00 am.
